Congratulations to Kate Mikel!
On June 28th, 2019, Kate was awarded the “Service Above Self” commendation by the Potsdam Rotary Club. This award recognizes Kate for her steadfast and selfless dedication to the Potsdam community and surrounding area. Some of her efforts include:
Advising the NYX chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon since its inception
Coordinating and soliciting volunteers for the Potsdam Salvation Army
Volunteering with the Potsdam Neighbors Helping Neighbors community outreach program
Acting as a Board of Director member for the Women’s Leadership Initiative for the North Country
Advising the Clarkson Tennis, Make-a-Wish, and Ultimate Frisbee clubs
In her spare time (when she’s not volunteering), Kate enjoys instructing Zumba classes, going to the gym, and cheering on the Clarkson Golden Knights hockey team.
