Letter from the AVC President

10.15.2016

Dear Fellow Alumni and Friends of Sigma Phi Epsilon,

I want to express my sincere appreciation in being re-elected as the AVC President for New York Chi.  Last year as President, I wanted to increase the communication to alumni and the interaction among alumni to increase.  We made strides with our website, email blasts, electronic and paper newsletters and events held outside of Clarkson University.  While we did increase our communication and interaction, there is still much more that can be accomplished to help propel this organization.  My goal will be to improve our existing method of on-boarding new alumni into our organization and to increase the number of alumni we are currently communicating with.

These goals will be in conjunction with many of the activities set in motion by the AVC Executive Board over the last couple years and further enhance and promote our organization from the Undergrads to the Founders.I welcome all feedback and encourage everyone to contact me or the AVC executive board via sigep.nyx.avc@gmail.com.

At this time, I would like to show my appreciation for the hard work that Ryan Stephens did in the position of AVC Secretary.  He graciously stepped down from the position but stressed he will continually aid the AVC board and more specifically the newly elected Secretary, Brandon Lennox.  I wish Brandon all the best in the new position and look forward to working with him to further improve the AVC organization.

As of October 2016, the AVC executive board is as follows:

  • President:  Ken Rushing
  • Secretary:  Brandon Lennox
  • Treasurer:  Matt Fox
  • VP Relations:  David Ress
  • Balanced Man Steward:  Ryan Stratton
  • Undergraduate President:  Lucas Carter
  • Chapter Counselor:  Kate Mikel

Please feel free to reach out to anyone on the AVC Executive Board or to the Universal AVC email, sigep.nyx.avc@gmail.com.

Fraternally,

Ken Rushing
